Data Collection

SessionVault does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers. All session data is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.local API.

What We Store Locally

• Session data: URLs, titles, and favicon URLs of your saved browser tabs
• Settings: Your theme preference (system/light/dark) and restore behavior preference

What We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect or have access to:

• Your browsing history
• Your identity or personal information
• Any analytics or usage statistics
• Any data from websites you visit

Third-Party Services

SessionVault does not use any third-party services, analytics platforms, or advertising networks. Your data stays on your device.

Permissions

The extension requests the following permissions:

• storage — To save your session data locally in Chrome
• tabs — To read your open tabs when you click "Save" and to restore saved tabs when you click "Restore"
• bookmarks — To export sessions as Chrome bookmarks (only when you choose to export)

These permissions are used only for the extension's core functionality and never for data collection.
